Here is how it works at Merrett's Pharmacy and Group Health Centre Pharmacy. One call starts itCall either pharmacy, or send the form, and say who the pack is for. The team takes it from there. The parent does not necessarily need to come in. Home visits and delivery are services the pharmacy offers, so ask about them on the call. Authorization comes firstDue to confidentiality, the pharmacist asks for the parent's authorization before sharing medication details with family. The pharmacy team explains what that involves on the call. Prescriptions from another pharmacyPrescriptions held elsewhere can be transferred to Merrett's Pharmacy or Group Health Centre Pharmacy. Ask, and the team arranges the transfer. Free deliveryThe finished pack can be picked up at either location, or delivered free to the parent's door in Sault Ste. Marie. Each pack holds the whole week, four doses a day, labelled Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Bedtime, with a colour picture of each medication on the blister it sits in. The week reads at a glance.
